Network Services Group (NSG) is a cutting edge company that specializes in IT Support, Managed Services, and Cloud Integration for small to medium sized businesses in the Great Lakes Bay Region area that typically do not employ in-house IT staff.
An NSG technician will be an experienced Microsoft network engineer with a strong background in Windows server administration and desktop support. We offer both full-time and part-time positions. We require that technicians possess an automobile and insurance. Applicants must live in the Great Lakes Bay Region area.
Qualified applicants should have a solid understanding of most of the following: Windows Server, Exchange Server, ActiveSync, Hosted Exchange, Terminal Server, Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, IIS, SSL Certificates, Backup Systems, Disk-Imaging, Disaster Recovery, RAID, Malware Protection and Removal, Firewalls, VLAN’s, and Virtualization technologies.
Qualified technicians are well spoken and articulate, fantastic problem solvers, well organized, able to multi-task efficiently, work independently with minimal supervision, and meet assigned deadlines.
Work is fast paced and challenging. Positions often require travel to multiple local clients per day, and working occasional long hours when necessary.

Identify and perform communication system connection repairs.

Linux System Administrator

This is an entry-level position for a Linux Systems Administrator. Requires a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent education and experience, plus at least one year of experience as a UNIX systems administrator. Requires ability to demonstrate practical UNIX/Linux systems skills. Experience working with development project teams is preferred; Windows system administration and services experience is a plus. Programming in C, Perl, MySQL, PHP, and other scripting languages is desired. Familiarity with the i386 and x64 hardware platform, Linux-based / Microsoft Windows workstations and servers, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), and network devices (including Layer 4 switching) and their associated operating systems is preferred, along with experience with Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices.
